In his ABF Chairman’s welcome, Tahir Mohsan said: “The Tiger Awards celebrate not only the diversity of the region in terms of ethnicity, culture and heritage but also the entrepreneurial passion and spirit shown by the region’s business men and women. As this year’s award nominations demonstrate, we are seeing a greater number of female entrepreneurs and young people developing innovative business ideas and taking on the enterprise journey.

“ABF members are also developing business ideas in more non-traditional sectors such as pharmaceuticals, creative & media, advanced manufacturing and professional services. This is encouraging to see and makes me hopeful for a better, stronger future that will enable a more inclusive, cohesive society complemented by a strong stable enterprise base. This will open up further education and employment opportunities within the communities that make up our towns and cities. That’s the North West we want to create.”

Mr Mohsan concluded by thanking the award sponsors and congratulating all the award nominees for their passion and achievements.
